MOTORCYCLE PHOTOGRAPHY - RIDE TO THE WAREHOUSE

Six women. Six Choppers. One desert sunset - one sunrise.

Out in Joshua Tree, I teamed up with Ride to the Warehouse founder Katie Loftus for a shoot that blended grit, beauty, and community - capturing portraits under a glowing night sky and the rush of open-road rides at first light.

Katie isn't a photographer, but she has always been a creative - a painter, an art lover, and a curator at heart. Being a rider herself, she wanted to see women riders portrayed as she saw them - as art. From her passion for motorcycles and the women who ride them, Ride to the Warehouse was born. Katie’s strength as a connector brought it all to life. She reached out to photographers, riders, and businesses, weaving them into one tight-knit community. The imagery captured by all of the photographers goes beyond the screen - blown up into striking, large-scale prints and taken on the road to riding events across the country. These traveling shows, held most years, surround audiences with the power and presence of women riders, with art sales often supporting charities like the Keep A Breast Foundation.

Ten years later, Ride to the Warehouse continues to run on heart and adrenaline, partnering with the Keep A Breast Foundation to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, blending edge, grace, and purpose.

This shoot tells their ongoing story - in portraits under a glowing desert sky and in motion as the sun broke over the horizon - and celebrates the amazing women Katie has connected with. Here’s a look at the talented riders and the passions they bring to the community:
